WHAT CHALLENGES ARE WE TACKLING

WOMEN'S ISSUES

By working with single mothers and domestic violence victims, we are part of a global fight against gender inequality. Women in Vietnam face significant discrimination and limited opportunities despite legal protections. Over half of married women experience domestic violence, and women are burdened with the majority of unpaid household and care responsibilities. Their participation in decision-making is minimal, and political representation is low. The intersection of poverty, gender inequality, cultural norms and social stigma contribute to a cycle of poverty and domestic abuse, leaving many women with few opportunities to change their circumstances.

EDUCATION SYSTEM

In Vietnam, rural children face significant challenges in accessing quality English education compared to their urban counterparts. While private English centers thrive in major cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, rural areas struggle with limited resources and a shortage of qualified teachers. The lack of infrastructure and access to modern teaching tools further widens the gap, leaving rural students at a disadvantage in terms of language skills and future economic opportunities. Bridging this urban-rural divide remains a critical challenge for the country's educational system.
